Having spent nearly 40 years on television, Babe Winkelman is a household name. His humility, enthusiasm, and passion for fishing and hunting have helped teach viewers all over the world how to be successful and appreciate the true meaning of the adventure. He started guiding in 1965 and fishing tournaments in 1970 before starting Good Fishing tips in 1980 and the Good Fishing Series in 1983. From there, he built his brand teaching the masses how to fish through how-to videos, books, and articles. Among his many achievements, Babe is notably the only angler to ever be inducted into the Sports Legends Hall of Fame, alongside some of the best athletes in the World. His extensive resume of guest appearances, tv shows, magazine features, and spokesmanship for major outdoor companies are only a small glimpse into what he has given the outdoor community.

Good Fishing has been around for almost 40 years and has taught viewers all over the world a wealth of fishing tips, tricks, recipes, and so much more. Babe’s passion to share all that he knows beyond a simple tip, and his ability to do so in detail, helps viewers understand fishing to a fuller extent and has changed the lives of countless anglers.

“My friends and clients insisted I be on TV after being forced into doing a commercial,” said host, Babe Winkelman. “Although I was scared, I knew my audience wanted to catch more and bigger fish, so I thought to put myself in the average angler's position and teach them how to do so. I taught them things that changed their fishing world and just like that they were hardcore Babe fans which has now created long-lasting memories.”

“Babe Winkelman is one of our community's most iconic and trusted outdoor sources,” said Waypoint TV’s Director of Business Development, Graig. Hale. “He has inspired countless anglers and hunters over the years, and we’re honored that he will continue to do so on the Waypoint TV platform. For those who have seen his series before, they will feel at home. And the new viewers will discover the host and knowledge they didn’t know they were missing. We’re beyond excited to share Babe’s Good Fishing with our audience.”
